in front of sth.的意思是在某物的前方（是在这个物体外面前方）；
in the front of sth.的意思是在某物的前面部分（是在这个物体里面前方）；

last和last for用法是相同zhidao的，后面都是加时间段的名词，表示动作或者状态持续的时间。内

例如：

1. The meeting only lasted (for) a few minutes. 会议只开了几分钟。

2. We've got enough food to last (for) three days. 我们有容足够的食物维持三天的时间。

sth（sb）in front of ...表示某人（知某物）在...的前面，sth或sb不包括在所属的范围之内；
